Pianist Luc Xu Cheng is an active soloist and chamber musician based in New York City. Currently, Luc works as a staff pianist at The Juilliard School and Mannes School of Music, where he works with vocalists and instrumentalists. Highlights of the 2023-24 season include performances at Symphony Space with the TerpsiKord Orchestra in New York City and featured concerts in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, where Luc performs Chopin E minor concerto, Rachmaninoff C minor concerto and Schumann concerto. This season also includes special performances with renowned flutist Carol Wincenc, at Winter Harbor Music Festival and Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention. For the summer of 2024, Luc will be joining the Mediterranean Opera Festival in Sicily, Italy, working on opera productions. Luc holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance from The Juilliard School, where he was enrolled in the accelerated BM/MM program and studied with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky. He has also been under the tutelage of Dr. Brian Zeger in the collaborative piano program at The Juilliard School.
